AI coding agents lead July's Shadow IT Index, with Google Jules first at 33% adoption.

## What the data says

Google Jules (33% adoption), an AI coding agent from Google Labs, ranks first, ahead of the open-source coding agent OpenCode (24% adoption) and the AI email assistant Fyxer (22% adoption).

Productivity (7) is the largest category, followed by Developer Tools (5).

The median Shadow IT index is 84.5, and 4 of the 22 apps score 90 or higher, led by the karaoke app Karafun at 95.
