Slack returns to #1 in October, and Claude AI enters the Adoption Index at #13.

## What the data says

Slack rises 1 place to #1 and Atlassian 2 places to #2, while Google Workspace (G Suite) falls 3 places to #4.

Claude AI enters the ranking at #13. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word also join, at #16 and #20.

Shadow risk stays low: the median Shadow IT index is 21.5, and all 20 apps claim at least two of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
