Slack leads the first Adoption Index, and every app in the top 20 claims at least two of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

## What the data says

Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace (G Suite), and Atlassian hold the top four spots.

Operations (5) is the largest category in a list of established workplace staples, from Microsoft 365 at #7 to Salesforce at #14.

Shadow risk is low across these staples: the median Shadow IT index is 26.5, and 14 of the 20 apps score below 40. Microsoft 365 is the lowest at 2, and Loom the highest at 48.

The data was collected during the period of July 1-31 2025 and provides a real-time view into the SaaS stacks shaping modern work. While the top players remained steady, notable gains from GitHub and Figma highlight how development and design continue driving collaboration. Data reflects usage from real organizations.
